The Elite Executive Assistant: From Support to Strategic Partner

Overview

An executive assistant sees more of an organisation than almost anyone except the executive they support. They know which projects are stalling, which relationships are strained, and what is coming three weeks out. Very few are using that position deliberately.

This programme is about converting that visibility into influence. It covers anticipating decisions rather than processing them, managing upward without overstepping, and the commercial literacy needed to be trusted with judgement rather than only with logistics.

It is pitched at experienced assistants. Calendar management and software skills are assumed, not taught.

What you will learn

  • Move from reactive task handling to anticipating what is needed
  • Manage upward: influencing an executive without overstepping
  • Gatekeep access in a way that protects rather than obstructs
  • Build the commercial literacy to contribute to business conversations
  • Handle sensitive information and competing stakeholder demands
  • Run board and committee papers to a professional standard
  • Prioritise ruthlessly when everything is presented as urgent
  • Build the internal network that gets things done quickly
